Where do I rent a unit?
The storage office is located at 1126 South Eagle Valley Road, Bellefonte (Wingate), PA 16823 approximately one half mile south of the Bald Eagle Area High School and is within the same offices for Valley Homes.
How do I rent a unit?
The move-in process may take up to 20 minutes. Calling ahead to check unit availability and to schedule a time to come is recommended. Prior to moving your content into the unit payment in full is due upon signing the rental agreement.
What am I required to do when I no longer need my unit?
Give a verbal or written notice at least 10 days prior to the day you are vacating. Make sure to empty all of your contents, broom clean the unit, and remove the lock. The lock is yours to take with you. If you give notice to vacate and then decide to continue renting simply notify our staff.
What is the minimum length of stay?
The minimum rental is 30-days. Rental agreements are month-to-month with no long-term contracts. You can extend the rental agreement for an additional 30-days by paying your monthly rent in full on or before the first of each month.
What is a drive-up unit?
Drive-up units allow you to park directly in front making them the most convenient type of units to access. Whether you are loading and unloading your contents, drive-up units make the job easy.
As a customer, what are my responsibilities?
To follow the guidelines, rules, and regulations set forth in our rental agreement, which the staff will review with you when you upon signing. You will also be required to make your monthly rental payments in full and on time. It is important to notify the staff if you have any changes to your account information (address, phone, payment information, etc.) and give proper notice when you are vacating the unit. Always be respectful of other customers and maintain a clean area around your storage unit. Lastly, upon vacating, remove all stored contents from the unit. Valley Mini Storage does not offer any rubbish disposal services.
What should I do if there is an emergency at the facility or my unit?
Call the office and report it to the staff immediately. In the event of an extreme emergency, call the police or fire department (or call 9-1-1).
Do you give me a lock and key?
If you purchase the recommended disc lock from Valley Mini Storage, it comes with two keys. You will be responsible for storing these keys in a safe and secure place.
Why should I buy my locks from Valley Mini Storage?
We only sell one type of lock, the disc lock. Our disc locks are the most recommended and secure locks on the market and made specifically for the self storage industry. They are stainless steel which provides the benefit of being rust resistant. The disc lock is designed to include a full body shackle to prevent being easily cut off with bolt cutters. This type of lock adds another layer of security to your unit.
How do I make a payment?
We office multiple ways for you to make your monthly rental payment on time every month. Payments can be made in person using a credit card, check, cash; phone payments are accepted by credit card only; and automatic payments can be set up. Automatic payments ensure you are never late as longs as the card on file is valid. Please call our office to inquire about our automatic payment program.
